Charles H. Brown, D.D.S.
Dr. Brown earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, cum laude, from the Medical College of Virginia in 1996. A distinguished graduate, he was presented the A.D. Williams Academic Achievement Award for ranking first in his class for the 1996 academic year. He then completed a General Practice Residency program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center where he received the Resident of the Year Award. Concurrently, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. In 1997 he received the Quality Care Award. Since 2003, Dr. Brown has been listed in several publications as one of the region's top dentists. Most recently, he was listed in Northern Virginia Magazine as one of the area's top dentists. In fact, he was one of only six Alexandria dentists to receive this recognition. He has also been recognized by Washington's Consumer Checkbook Magazine. He is a member of The Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Brown has been practicing dentistry at Hayfield Dental Care since 1997. During his time here he has performed literally thousands of crown, root canal and other surgical procedures. He has also placed over 30,000 white "tooth colored" fillings. Furthermore, he has the most advanced general practice training and can perform almost any procedure including extractions and pre-prosthetic surgery without the need for an outside referral. Dr. Brown is very accessible to his patients and is always willing to discuss treatment and answer questions over the phone to patients of record. If you leave him a message he will always return your call within a reasonable time frame.
Dr. Brown received his undergraduate degree in microbiology, with a minor in chemistry, from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!). He is originally from McLean, Virginia, where he attended Langley High School. He enjoys spending his free time with his family. Dr. Brown has three young children and his weekends and many weekday evenings are filled as a coach on their little league baseball and softball teams.
Besi Tong, D.M.D., M.S.D. - Orthodontist
Dr. Tong was raised in Northern Virginia and attended high school in Falls Church. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. After college, he attended dental school at Temple University, where he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Society and graduated Summa Cum Laude. To pursue his dream of becoming an orthodontic specialist, Dr. Tong applied to and was accepted into the orthodontic residency program at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Tong has achieved the high distinction of becoming a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Northern Virginia Dental Society. Due to his passion for helping others, Dr. Tong has volunteered his time to Give Kids a Smile Day and Mission of Mercy outreaches providing free dental care to the underserved population
Adrian M. Rudiak, D.D.S. - Periodontist
Dr. Adrian Rudiak is our respected board certified periodontist, skilled in implant placement, bone & soft tissue grafting, osseous surgery, crown lengthening, scaling & root planing, and periodontal maintenance.
Dr. Rudiak earned his certificate in Periodontics from New York University College of Dentistry. He also received training in Comprehensive Dentistry at New York University, which allowed him to treat patients while working closely with colleagues from other specialties. Now as a Periodontist, he provides the best possible treatment options for his patients by utilizing a multi-specialty approach. By educating his patients on not only their treatment options but also the best preventative practices he builds a strong foundation for great, long-term oral health.
Dr. Rudiak holds education of the highest importance not only when it comes to his patients but also for himself and his peers. He teaches part-time at New York University College of Dentistry where he also received the Award for Clinical Stewardship. Additionally, Dr. Rudiak has presented his research at numerous national and international conferences and is published in a
peer-reviewed journal. He earned honorable mentions at NYU's Research Scholarship EXPO in 2019 and The Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics Scientific Meeting in 2018. He continues his own education through dental affiliations with American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, and International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).
Outside the office, Dr. Rudiak enjoys photography, music, and aviation.
Kenneth Lee, D.D.S., F.A.G.D.
Dr. Lee received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland at Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. He then completed a General Practice Residency program at the Veteran's Affair Hospital in Baltimore. Dr. Lee has extensive experience and advanced training in all areas of dentistry. During his years of practice, Dr. Lee has placed and restored hundreds of implants. He is currently the only dentist at our office that can surgically place and restore implants. In fact, he is also the only dentist in Kingstowne that can surgically place implants. Most offices require you to visit one office for the surgical placement of the implant and another office to place the crown on the implant once it has healed. Dr. Lee's training and expertise enable him to perform both of the procedures right here, in most cases, without the need for an outside referral. Dr. Lee is also proficient in bone grafting, extractions, periodontal surgery, root canals and removable dentures as well as cosmetic dentistry and crowns.
Dr. Lee's professional memberships include the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Lee is also a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry as indicated by the F.A.G.D. after his name. This is a prestigious title that is only awarded by the academy after a dentist has completed a significant amount of advanced continuing education training and testing. Impressively, Dr. Lee was awarded this title after only three years of practice, whereas most dentists never attain this goal, or if they do, it is after many more years of practice. Dr. Lee is also listed in the "Guide to America's Top Dentists."
In his spare time Dr. Lee enjoys playing various sports, hiking, outdoor activities and traveling. He maintains a residence in Arlington.
Dr. Luke Navarro, D.D.S.
Dr. Navarro has been practicing dentistry since 2016. Dr. Navarro is local to Northern Virginia, attending High school at T.C Williams. He obtained a degree in biochemistry from Virginia Tech, he completed his dental training at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
After receiving his dental degree Dr. Navarro completed an AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) residency program and spent five years serving in the Armed Forces with the United States Navy. His tours included Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; Okinawa, Japan; and Quantico, Virginia where he received numerous awards as a Dental Officer.
Since transitioning to private practice, Dr. Navarro has developed a passion for helping patients achieve their goals pertaining to their dental health and aesthetics, and he treats each patient as though they are a member of his own family.
Dr. Navarro is skilled in all areas of general, cosmetic and family dentistry and works closely with the other dentists and specialists at both Kingstowne Dental Care and Hayfield Dental Care. Dr. Navarro also speaks Spanish.
In his free time, Dr. Navarro enjoys exercising, playing golf, learning guitar, listening to podcasts, and spending time with his dog, Bogie.
Timothy Spitzer, D.M.D.
Dr. Spitzer earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Northwestern University Dental School in 1986. He also completed a number of externships. His undergraduate studies were done at the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
Dr. Spitzer is originally from Wisconsin but he moved to and has been practicing dentistry in the Washington area for a little over 30 years. He was originally hired by Hayfield Dental in 1988 and has also worked part-time at other area practices over the years. He also served as Chief Dental Officer for Pan Am World Services from 1991-1994.
Dr. Spitzer is extremely experienced in all areas of dentistry, ranging from complex root canals, dentures and implant crowns, to crowns, bridges and composite fillings. Over the last 30 years Dr. Spitzer has performed tens of thousands of these procedures. He has also completed hundreds of hours of continuing education and advanced dental training.
In his spare time, Dr. Spitzer enjoys being outdoors, traveling and working on home improvement projects.
Natalie Lobo, D.D.S.
With over 22 years of experience in general, pediatric and cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Natalie Lobo is passionate about delivering healthy beautiful smiles to patients of all ages. As a Virginia native who has lived, studied and worked in the local area her entire life, she brings deep community roots and a personal commitment to patient-centered care. Dr. Lobo is known for her warm and approachable demeanor, encouraging patients to ask questions and feel confident in their treatment choices. She has a meticulous eye for detail and a perfectionist's mindset, delivering high quality results whether it's a simple filling or a complete smile makeover with orthodontics, veneers, crowns or bondings. She firmly believes in the power of prevention, emphasizing regular cleanings and checkups to avoid long-term costly dental issues.
Dr. Lobo's dedication extends beyond the dental chair, she has volunteered at the NOVA Dental Clinic since 2004 and actively participates in Mission of Mercy and Give Kids a Smile events. She is a published researcher and is a proud member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Virginia Dental Association and the Northern Virginia Dental Society. Dr. Lobo is a Northern Virginia native, who grew up in Falls Church and graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelors degree in Biology and a minor in Biochemistry. She then attended the Medical College of Virginia, graduating with distinction and honors in 2004, with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Lobo has completed many hours of continuing education and advanced dental education.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Lobo enjoys reading, boating on the Potomac, watching movies and traveling with her husband and two children.
